Hello all, I'm a Rbk wannabe from the u.s.  I have wanted my right foot amputated since I was around 6 or 7. Not sure why that is exactly but just feels like it doesn't belong to me.  The older I get the worse the urge to remove it grows.  I made an attempt to do such myself in 2017 and came close. Unfortunately they reattached it and have had nothing but issues with it since. The nerve was severed and have almost no feeling in my foot but what feeling I do have is mostly excruciating pain from light touches on the bottom of my foot as I think the nerve got rewired backwards.  I've tried more than once to go in and talk to Drs about my options only to get treated like crap cause they just assumed I'm drug seeking trying to get pain meds.  In reality that's the last thing I want. I'd prefer them to just finish what I started only now a long with feelings for it from biid it's almost more so from the problems I have with it. Along with the pain my foot and shin get random infections constantly, it's starting to affect my hip as I walk in a bit so normal way due to the pain.  I think my quality of life now would be far better with a prosthetic than what I'm left with. I guess I'm here in hopes of gaining insight on what my options really are for fixing this as well as to see what the medical pros are learning about biid

Hi there.  It is good that you told your story here, but this is not a support group; but a research group.   You should join this group and ask about this there.  https://bidremedy.com.   There are people there who have dealt with pain and such.   There is a lot of activity there, and I am sure they would be of help to you.  Keep in touch here as well as they try to educate the medical community about BID and what it is all about.
