Yes, suffering from BID is really bad.  The medical community just does not understand how much harm BID does to a person who suffers.  I always say the worst part of suffering from BID is not so much that one would be "disabled" if they achieve their need, but the problem is that it is so hard to get there safely.  You should also join Reddit r/biid and read some of the posts there.  There are no groups at this point where you can talk about how to force amputation; the two that allowed such talk are now gone.  The few who did achieve are very happy with their proper body, and they accept the limitation that they now have.  They love their stumps.
